We have one double that's been around longer than the rest, takes in a bit of water (as do they all), so needs draining after each outing. 

Every kayak takes in some water - regardless of brand, it's just the nature of the beast.  They should all be drained after paddling.

NRS Kayak Transportation Kits

The NRS Deluxe Kayak Car Rack Kit $69.95

A simple, effective system for transporting your boat to and from the water. The non-skid foam blocks protect your kayak and vehicle roof. You can be rigged and ready to go in a snap.

Durable mini cell foam cushions your boat and protects your vehicle.

Your boat secures to the foam blocks with 9-foot padded straps. You can then pop them on factory rack load bars or set the blocks directly on the vehicle roof.

Then attach the J-hook Straps to the bow and stern of the boat and affix them to the front and rear of the vehicle.

A 15-foot padded strap provides secure center tie down support.

The kit stows away neatly in the included mesh bag. Complete use instructions accompany the kit.

Hobie kayaks each have a cockpit for storage, paddle keepers for strapping your paddle to the kayak, and generous storage areas with bungies.  Our Maui's are a stunning red - nice and visible on the water!  And the Kona a bright blue, also very visible.
