  • SKG  Stamford Kayaking Group - check out this 'meet-up' group.  A great resource for paddlers looking for buddies!
  • Sound Navigation/Seaport Express  Barry Natale owns a beautiful canary yellow boat (don't ask me what it is) that accommodates up to 27 people.  He leads tours of the local lighthouses, sunset outings, corporate outings, navigation classes...  Check out his website.  Barry works with me to bring kayaks to other locations - great for corporate events.  e.g. Sheffield Island rentals!
  • Greg Paquin Advanced ACA & BCU instructor - Greg leads our Coastal Kayaking instruction on Sundays, and offers specialty training classes on Thursday evenings e.g. strokes, rescues, wind and waves.
  • Sherry White - of White Tara Yoga, is Downunder's own private yoga instructor, and winner of the Best of the Gold Coast award for offshore yoga.  Find out what makes her tick.
  • swimacrossamerica - fancy a bit of a triathalon?  this will keep you fit!

  • fergskayaks my inspiration - New Zealand Ian Ferguson has two operations, one has a climbing wall as well, the other has inline skating and bike rentals.  And his son teaches white water kayaking - wahoo!  Ian is one of New Zealand's top Olympic legends, and his son is no slacker either, with a few records of his own.
  • authentic nz grub available in New York - dubpies.com Down Under Bakery (DUB) Pies, established 2003, is proud to be the first specialty bakery to bring the authentic New Zealand-Australian experience — the culturally iconic meat pie — to New York City.
  • kiwi club ny Yes there are a whole bunch of us, and the Kiwi Club of NY is the local chapter.  A non-profit association which promotes cultural, educational and business contacts between New York and New Zealand.  Get your fix of New Zealanders by attending some of their social events.
  • photos on the water Daniela and Allen have this really cool business that takes them down to the Islands every winter - should we all be so lucky.  If you need action photography (water being the specialty) they're your team.  They also captain for Downunder when we have events needing a boat.
  • save the sound - very dear to our heart.  Learn what they're doing to preserve our glorious paddling water.
  • kayakforacause check out this very funny website, that tells the story of two guys that paddled across Long Island Sound for the heck of it.  In doing so, they inadvertently launched an annual event that has grown from 2 people to 300 in 6 years, raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for some very worthy causes, and made a lot of paddlers really happy.  Funds go towards worth causes, such as Save the Sound and the Maritime Aquarium.  Visit the site to learn of other causes.
  • tourism.state.ct.us - what to do in the region.
